As Americans continue to downsize in the post-housing boom world, space can be at a premium. This is particularly true in the outdoor spaces, which may have once have been capacious before a move, but now seem pretty small in comparison.
Still, entertaining outdoors is an essential ingredient of today’s lifestyle and even though you may have less space, there’s no reason why you need to sacrifice beauty, quality and comfort.
Teak chairs come in many styles and some are very well suited to smaller areas. One of our favorite styles of teak outdoor chairs are the ones that fold or stack.
When we say the word ‘folding’ we can almost see your look of disdain. You think of the utilitarian steel folding chairs of PTA meetings. But teak patio chairs that fold up are very stylish and don’t look much different from their non-folding counterparts. In fact, these folding outdoor teak chairs are not only perfect for space conscious homes, but are well suited for additional seating during large holiday gatherings, indoors or out.
Another option is stackable teak wood chairs. These too look like normal chairs, but are designed in such a way that they easily nest on top of one another when not in use, allowing you to store several chairs in the same space just one would ordinarily take up.
Between the two extremes, you’re almost sure to find that you can have stunning, stylish furniture that can still be easily stored come wintertime or when you need a little extra space on the deck to have a limbo contest… how low can you go?
